Former minister's daughter slaps bank officer

A dispute over the repair of a bank lift escalated into a heated argument, ultimately leading to the daughter of a former central minister slapping a branch manager of the State Bank of India (SBI).
The incident took place in Chennai, India. The accused, Kayalvizhi, is the daughter of former Union Minister M.K. Alagiri. The entire episode was captured on CCTV cameras.
Police officials have confirmed that a case has been filed against Kayalvizhi for physically assaulting the SBI branch manager.
According to reports, the incident occurred at a commercial building in Chennai. In the CCTV footage, Kayalvizhi is seen speaking with the bank manager while seated in a room with another person. At one point during the conversation, an argument broke out between the two. Suddenly, she stood up and slapped the bank manager.
Preliminary investigations revealed that the manager of the Adyar branch had requested repairs to a faulty lift in the commercial building owned by Kayalvizhi, where the bank's branch office is located. This repair request became the point of contention between the two parties.
According to the complaint, an enraged Kayalvizhi then attacked the bank manager.
Based on the bank manager's report, the bank's chief manager filed a written complaint with the police. Following the complaint, police registered a case under four sections of the law, citing the CCTV footage as evidence. An investigation into the incident is currently underway.
