33 Additional Superintendent of Police-rank officers sent to foreced retirement

A total of 33 police officers holding the rank of Additional Superintendent of Police (Addl. SP) have been sent into compulsory retirement from service.
Separate notifications to this effect were issued on Sunday by the Police-1 Branch of the Public Security Division under the Ministry of Home Affairs.
The notification stated, "These officers have been retired from service in the public interest, exercising the power conferred by Section 45 of the Government Servants (Conduct) Act, 2018." The retired officers will receive all retirement benefits as per rules.
According to the notification, among the officers sent into retirement are those holding ranks from DIG to Additional DIG. All of them are officers of the 20th batch. Some were serving in various police units, while others were attached to or on special duty.
The notification, issued with the approval of the Senior Secretary of the Public Security Division under the Ministry of Home Affairs, stated that it would take effect immediately. Concerned departments have been instructed to take necessary measures accordingly.
