A total of 33 police officers holding the rank of Additional Superintendent of Police (Addl. SP) have been sent into compulsory retirement from service.Separate notifications to this effect were issued on Sunday by the Police-1 Branch of the Public Security Division under the Ministry of Home Affairs.The notification stated, "These officers have been retired from service in the public interest, exercising the power conferred by Section 45 of the Government Servants (Conduct) Act, 2018."
