A kissing scene from the 2014 film 'Rivolver Rani', featuring Bollywood actress and BJP MP Kangana Ranaut and actor-comedian Vir Das, has once again become a topic of discussion. Nearly a decade after the film's release, a new controversy has been sparked by an explosive claim made by a journalist in a video that has gone viral on social media.
Recently, on Siddharth Kannan's podcast, journalist Simi Chandok claimed that during the shooting of an intimate scene from the film, Kangana allegedly continued kissing Vir Das even after the director yelled "cut." According to her, this resulted in Vir Das's lip being injured and bleeding.
On the podcast, she said, "I need to bring Vir Das to my podcast one day. If he recalls that time, he might just break down crying. In a scene from 'Revolver Rani', Kangana was supposed to kiss him deeply. But even after the scene was over, she didn't stop. The poor guy's lip was bitten and started bleeding."
However, no independently verifiable evidence has surfaced publicly to support this claim. Neither Kangana Ranaut nor Vir Das has made any fresh comment on the matter.
Earlier, in 2023, a similar rumour had circulated. At that time, Kangana responded sarcastically on her Instagram Stories, writing, "First Hrithik Roshan, and now apparently I've defamed poor Vir Das too? When did this even happen?" She accompanied the post with laughing, tongue-out, and facepalm emojis. Her reaction suggested that she did not take the allegation seriously.
Kangana was last seen in the film 'Bharat Bhagya Vidhata', which was released on 12 June. The film is based on the true story of the courage displayed by the staff of the Kama and Albless Hospital during the 26/11 Mumbai terrorist attacks in 2008.
Meanwhile, Vir Das has recently worked as a director alongside his acting role in the film 'Happy Patel: Khatarnak Jaasus.'
