Bangladeshi musician Tasrif Khan asks countrymen for prayers from Nepal

The death toll and number of missing persons continue to rise in the devastating flash floods and landslides that have struck Nepal. Amid this dire situation, Bangladeshi musician and lead vocalist of the band "Kureghor," Tasrif Khan, is currently staying there.

Although the catastrophic floods in Rasuwa district—near the Tibet-China border—have left hundreds of tourists missing and caused numerous casualties, Tasrif Khan has confirmed that he and his team are safe.

In a message shared on social media on Wednesday evening, Tasrif wrote: "We are still in Nepal, and by Allah's infinite mercy, we are safe so far. Today has seen one of the most devastating disasters in Nepal's history. In the northern region of Nepal, in Rasuwa district adjacent to the Tibet-China border, a severe flash flood has struck, leaving hundreds of tourists missing and the death toll rising."

Thanking the many people who reached out after hearing the news, Tasrif added: "Since the news broke, countless well-wishers from home and abroad have called, messaged, and checked on us through various channels. We are truly grateful for your heartfelt concern, prayers, and love."

Alongside his own safety, Tasrif expressed sympathy for the flood victims and prayed for their swift rescue. He wrote: "I am praying from the heart for all those affected and endangered by this disaster. May Allah protect everyone, may He bring the distressed safely back, and may He soon restore normalcy to this difficult situation. Please keep us all in your prayers."

Tasrif Khan, the frontman of "Kureghor"—a band known for winning hearts through music and social work—is currently monitoring the situation. He has ended by asking everyone to pray for him and his team.
