Minister for Local Government, Rural Development, and Co-operatives Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir called on the younger generation to step forward in innovation and research-based work.
He made these remarks on Friday during the inauguration ceremony of Soleman Ali’s solar irrigation pump in Molani village of Thakurgaon Sadar Upazila.
Fakhrul said, “Development is not achieved just by wanting to build roads, mosques, and madrasas. Preparing oneself as an innovator is the true meaning of development.”
He advised the youth to focus on creative tasks instead of limiting their support only to football matches. He encouraged them to establish themselves as innovators and entrepreneurs so they can cover their own expenses. Fakhrul urged the youth to follow the example of Soleman Ali and become innovators through their own personal efforts.
Thakurgaon Deputy Commissioner Mohammad Rafiqul Huq, Superintendent of Police Belal Hossain, District BNP General Secretary Poygam Ali, and various government and party officials attended the program.
