Oil prices hit four-week high amid US-Iran strikes

For the third consecutive day, retaliatory attacks between the United States and Iran have pushed global oil prices higher. On Tuesday morning, crude prices reached their highest level in four weeks.
According to Oil Price.com, as of 8:30 AM Tuesday, Brent crude was trading at $84.11 per barrel. US West Texas Intermediate (WTI) crude rose by 1.37% to $79.21 per barrel.
On Monday alone, Brent crude surged by 9.6% — its biggest one-day jump since May 2020.
Late Monday night, the US launched strikes on Iran for the third straight night, while Tehran continued its counterattacks. The escalating tit-for-tat strikes have driven up oil prices. (Source: Reuters)
