Rain, Thunderstorms Likely in Dhaka as Heat Rises

Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) said rain or thunderstorms may occur in Dhaka and its surrounding areas and daytime temperature may slightly increase.
BMD confirmed the matter in the weather forecast for Dhaka and neighboring regions for the six-hour period starting from 7 am on Tuesday.
According to the forecast, the sky over Dhaka may remain partly cloudy to temporarily overcast. Rain or thunderstorms are possible during the time. Winds are expected to blow from the south or south-east at speeds of 10 to 15 kilometers per hour. The daytime temperature in the capital might rise slightly today.
As of 6 am, the temperature in Dhaka was recorded at 27.2 degrees Celsius, with a humidity level of 96 percent. On Monday, the maximum temperature recorded was 29.2 degrees Celsius. Over the last 24 hours, Dhaka has received 40 millimeters of rainfall.
