The 27-year-old was pursuing a PhD in Geography and Environmental Science at the University of South Florida. On April 16, he and another student, Nahida Sultana Brishti, went missing under mysterious circumstances. After a prolonged search, police recovered Limon’s mutilated body on April 24 from the Howard Frankland Bridge area in Florida. A few days later, dismembered remains of Brishti were also recovered from the same location.

According to court documents, multiple stab wounds were found on Limon’s body, and the condition of the remains was gruesome. The accused has been charged with first-degree murder, and police also recovered a weapon from him.
The tragic death of the talented student has sparked deep grief and anger among the Bangladeshi community both at home and abroad. Family members and classmates have demanded exemplary punishment for the perpetrator. After receiving the body at the airport, Limon’s family left for their village home to carry out the final rites.
