Upon receiving the news, local villagers rushed to the spot and a scuffle broke out between them and the BSF members. At one point, the BSF members fled, leaving behind two shotguns and a walkie-talkie.

Upon receiving the news, BGB members from the Bonchouki camp went to the spot, recovered the weapons and walkie-talkie left behind by the BSF, and took them into custody. Later, the commanding officer of the 15 BGB Battalion, Lieutenant Colonel Mehedi Imam, visited the scene.

Lieutenant Colonel Mehedi Imam said, "We have spoken to the BSF. A flag meeting at the commander level has been requested. Details will be provided after the meeting."
