BNP leader and Member of Parliament for the Narsingdi-5 (Raipura) constituency, Engineer Ashraf Uddin Bakul, has called for cooperation from all, regardless of party affiliation, to select the most qualified candidates for member and chairman posts in the upcoming local government elections and the BNP committee.
He made this call while speaking as the chief guest at a preparatory meeting held on Saturday in Raipura, Narsingdi, to mark the 48th founding anniversary of the BNP.
Bakul, who serves as the BNP Central Committee's Co-Editor for Science and Technology Affairs, stated, "Factories did not start closing just today. Factories began shutting down from 2021-22, during Sheikh Hasina's tenure, when there was no money in the banks and rampant money laundering took place. Even two years ago, 30 lakh workers became unemployed. The interim government did not arrange to reopen the factories."
He assured the workers, saying, "You all just need to be patient for one more year. All closed factories will be reopened within this time. Then your employment opportunities and scope will increase even further."
The preparatory meeting was attended by leaders from various levels of the Raipura Upazila and Municipal BNP, Union BNP, and its affiliated organizations.
During the meeting, various guidelines were provided to ensure the 48th founding anniversary of the BNP is celebrated with due dignity.
