Man Dies After Fall from 7th Floor of Bashundhara City Mall

A young man died after falling from the seventh floor of Bashundhara City Shopping Mall in Panthapath, Dhaka. It remains unclear whether the incident was a case of murder or suicide. The incident occurred around 5 p.m. on Wednesday.
Tejgaon Police Station Officer-in-Charge Kashainyu Marma confirmed the matter to Agamir Somoy.
He said the body has been sent to Dhaka Medical College Hospital for an autopsy. Police are working to identify the deceased.
He further said, “We are initially suspecting suicide. However, the exact cause, whether murder or suicide, will be confirmed after the autopsy.”
Eyewitnesses said the authorities of Bashundhara City covered the body after the incident.
Earlier in 2018, a similar incident occurred when another young man died after falling from the seventh floor of the same building.
