An Indian tech professional has set a unique example of never giving up despite repeated failures in landing a dream job. After failing 12 consecutive times, he finally secured an opportunity at the world's leading technology company, Google, on his 13th attempt.

Sharing his inspiring journey on social media platform X (formerly Twitter), he wrote, "The real magic happened on the 13th time." He described applying to top tech companies as a numbers game. According to him, alongside hard work, a bit of luck also plays an important role.

Soumyadeep Pal, the engineer in question, said that it wasn't just Google—he was also turned down by Microsoft 16 times. On his 17th attempt, he received a job offer from there. On the other hand, he applied to Amazon three times but was unsuccessful. He never even received an interview call from companies like Apple and Oracle.

Soumyadeep didn't just share his success story; he also offered some practical advice for job seekers.

In Soumyadeep's words, one must be strategic rather than applying blindly. He said, "Don't apply impulsively here and there. First, see how well your CV matches the qualifications for the position."

"Wherever you have acquaintances working, you can collect HR emails through them and send your CV directly along with the job ID. Additionally, if luck is on your side, sending a message to the hiring manager of your desired company on LinkedIn may also create new opportunities," Soumyadeep advised.

After Soumyadeep's story spread on social media, it garnered a massive response among young job seekers. Many wanted to see his CV, while others sought career advice.

In the comments section, one person wrote, "It's not just merit; experience from reputed companies on the CV also plays a big role."
