Saudi Launches Package Visa for Tourists

Saudi Arabia has launched a new digital initiative called the ‘Package Visa,’ allowing travelers to apply for a tourist visa as part of an integrated travel booking process. The program, which is being rolled out through qualified travel and tourism service providers in selected international markets, including Bangladesh, aims to simplify travel planning and make visiting the Kingdom more convenient for international tourists.
The initiative reflects Saudi Arabia’s broader efforts to transform itself into a global tourism destination and attract visitors from around the world. As part of an ambitious economic diversification drive, the Kingdom has steadily expanded its tourism offerings, eased travel procedures, and opened up new opportunities for international visitors, moving beyond its traditionally limited tourism profile.
The announcement was made Tuesday in a press release issued by Triune Group, the Bangladeshi public relations agency representing the Saudi Tourism Authority (STA).
According to the release, the Package Visa integrates tourist visa applications directly into curated travel bookings, allowing eligible travelers to arrange visas, flights, accommodations, and tourism experiences through a single booking process.
The initiative builds on a series of measures Saudi Arabia has introduced in recent years to make travel easier. Since launching its tourist e-Visa program, the Kingdom has added options such as visa-on-arrival services and the Stopover Transit Visa. Saudi Arabia welcomed more than 29 million inbound visitors in 2025, underscoring the rapid growth of its tourism sector.
Commenting on the initiative, Saudi Minister of Tourism Ahmed Al Khateeb said the Package Visa demonstrates the Kingdom’s commitment to making travel more seamless for visitors.
“As Saudi’s tourism sector continues to grow at pace, Package Visa reflects our commitment to making travel to Saudi more seamless for visitors,” he said. “By integrating visa issuance with travel bookings, we are simplifying the visitor journey and creating a more connected travel experience. This initiative also strengthens collaboration across the tourism ecosystem and supports Saudi’s position as an increasingly accessible global destination.”
Under the new system, eligible travelers can complete key elements of their trip through a single platform instead of arranging visas, flights, and accommodations separately. The process also allows visitors to add events, activities, and tourism experiences as part of their travel package.
Saudi officials say the initiative will help create a smoother travel experience while encouraging visitors to spend more time in the country and explore a wider range of attractions.
The Package Visa will be available only through qualified travel and tourism service providers that meet specified service standards and offer round-the-clock customer support.
The Saudi Tourism Authority, which promotes the Kingdom’s tourism destinations globally, oversees programs designed to expand tourism offerings and support industry partners. The authority operates 16 representative offices serving 38 countries worldwide. Further information on Saudi Arabia’s tourism offerings is available at visitsaudi.com.
