Hajj: 46,514 Pilgrims Reach Saudi Arabia; 9 Die

A total of 46,514 pilgrims from Bangladesh have reached Saudi Arabia to perform the holy Hajj. They arrived via 118 Hajj flights. Among them, nine individuals have passed away, according to the latest bulletin from the Ministry of Religious Affairs.
A government bulletin states that out of the total pilgrims, 4,071 are travelling under government management, while 42,443 under private management. To be specific, some 21,910 pilgrims arrived through 54 flights of Biman Bangladesh Airlines, 16,110 arrived on 43 flights of Saudi Airlines, and 8,494 pilgrims reached Saudi Arabia on 21 flights of Flynas Airlines, respectively.
Meanwhile, nine Bangladeshi pilgrims have died so far during the journey. Seven of them passed away in Makkah and two in Madinah. The deceased include one woman.
This year, a total of 78,500 people from Bangladesh received permission to perform the Pilgrimage. Among them, 4,565 will perform Hajj under government management and 73,935 under private management.
Depending on the sighting of the moon, Hajj is expected to take place in Saudi Arabia on May 26. Following the completion of the pilgrimage, return flights from Jeddah will begin on May 30. The final return flight is scheduled to depart for Dhaka on June 30.
