Emraan Hashmi diagnosed with swine flu

Bollywood star Emraan Hashmi fell ill amid celebrations of the historic success of ‘Awarapan 2’ crossing Rs 200 crore at the box office. He is currently receiving treatment at a hospital after contracting the potentially fatal virus.
Medical tests have confirmed that the actor has been diagnosed with swine flu. The actor’s spokesperson confirmed the news and released the official medical report.
Influenza and swine flu infections have recently been spreading rapidly across India. More than 2,400 H1N1 cases have been reported in the capital Delhi. Karnataka has reported 4,212 cases while nearly 7,500 people in Kerala have been infected with the virus.
Emraan Hashmi underwent tests after feeling unwell soon after returning to Mumbai. After the report came back positive doctors advised him to remain in complete isolation and get adequate rest. Due to his illness the actor could not attend a scheduled promotional event in Bengaluru. He also apologized to his fans on social media.
Despite the physical complications caused by influenza Emraan Hashmi is currently enjoying major commercial success. His much-anticipated movie ‘Awarapan 2’ was released in theaters on August 14 and has already crossed Rs 200 crore in worldwide box office earnings.
The film is packed with action and emotion. Emraan Hashmi’s character Shivam has received widespread praise from fans.
The movie starring Disha Patani, Wamiqa Gabbi and Shabana Azmi has received a strong response in theaters since its release.
According to doctors, with proper care and adequate rest the star should recover quickly and return to shooting and promotional activities.
