Residential apartments' fire under control at Kantaban

Fire at Two two apartments on 12th Floor of a 14-story residential building in Kantaban in the capital was brought under control early Saturday morning.
Fire Service personnel doused the blaze under at 3:08 AM on Saturday after efforts by six firefighting units. However, two people sustained injuries in the incident.
The apartments caught fire aroubnd 1:05 Am Saturday.
Rafi Al Faruk, the Duty Officer at the Fire Service Control Room, confirmed these details to the media.
The Fire Service official said two injured individuals were rescued and taken to Dhaka Medical College (DMCH) Hospital.
Meanwhile, many residents of the building took shelter on the rooftop due to the fire, and some of them were seen crying out in distress. Duty Officer Rafi Al Faruk said Fire Service members were working to rescue them.
The cause of the fire and the extent of the damage could not be immediately determined.
