Five Youths Hailed From Sylhet Killed in Qatar Car Crash

Five young men hailing from Sylhet have reportedly been killed in a tragic road accident in Qatar. All of them were residents of Jhingabari Union of Kanaighat Upazila in Sylhet.
The victims have been identified as Jibal Ahmad of Amarpur village, Mostak Ahmad and Jubayer Ahmad of Majhtaluk village, Abdul Kadir of Gachbari village, and Jasim Uddin of Agtaluk village. They had been residing and working in Qatar for a long time.
Ahmed Malek, the General Secretary of the Jalalabad Association—a social organization for Sylhet expatriates in Qatar—confirmed the news of the accident. According to him, the vehicle was being driven by an Indian national, who was also killed on the spot.
A deep shadow of grief has descended upon the entire union following the news of the tragedy. Relatives have sought the assistance of relevant authorities to bring the bodies back home.
Sharif Uddin Ahmed, a resident of Amarpur village, said, "The simultaneous death of five expatriates from our area in a Qatar road accident is incredibly heartbreaking. They were all working hard abroad to bring happiness and prosperity to their families."
Malek, the Jalalabad Association General Secretary, said they are coordinating with the embassy to arrange for the rapid repatriation of the five expatriates' bodies to Bangladesh.
