Janhvi Left Terrified by Fan Incident

Bollywood actress Janhvi Kapoor was left badly frightened after an unexpected incident involving a fan during a promotional event for the much-anticipated film Peddi, starring South Indian megastar Ram Charan and Janhvi Kapoor.

The film is set to be released tomorrow, June 4. Just before the release, an unfortunate incident occurred at one of its promotional events. Breaking through tight security, a visually impaired fan suddenly rushed frantically toward Ram Charan, who was seated near the stage.

The unexpected moment terrified Janhvi Kapoor, who was sitting beside him. For a brief period, tension spread across the entire venue. A video of the incident has already gone viral on social media.

The viral video shows Ram Charan and Janhvi Kapoor seated side by side on a sofa in the front row of the event. Despite tight security and the presence of bouncers all around, a fan suddenly managed to bypass everyone and ran directly toward Ram Charan, getting extremely close to him.

Although Ram Charan managed to stay composed during the sudden intrusion, Janhvi Kapoor who was seated next to him, was visibly shocked. Her facial expression changed completely, and she remained momentarily frozen, staring in fear.

However, security personnel quickly intervened and removed the fan from the venue, bringing the situation under control.

Unlike most big-budget pan-India films, which typically release a “release trailer” or final trailer two to three days before the premiere, Peddi is taking the opposite approach.

According to Telugu cinema portals, the makers of this film directed by Buchi Babu Sana with music by Oscar-winning A. R. Rahman—will not release any further new trailers. The audience has already seen what was meant to be shown in the first trailer, and the rest of the surprises will only be revealed in theatres on June 4.

Set against the backdrop of Vizianagaram in Andhra Pradesh, this sports drama features Ram Charan in a unique role. He is portrayed as a talented cricketer, wrestler, and athlete all at once. The story follows how the local hero “Peddi” overcomes social barriers and personal struggles to achieve success both on and off the field.

Alongside Janhvi Kapoor, the film also stars Boman Irani, Shiva Rajkumar, and Divyendu Sharma in important roles. Now, it remains to be seen how this trailer strategy translates into box office success.
