Independent Member of Parliament for Brahmanbaria-2, Rumin Farhana has called for a human chain and protest program in response to the cancellation of the screening of the film Bonolota Express in Brahmanbaria.
She announced the program in a post on her verified Facebook page on Monday.
In the Facebook post, Rumin Farhana wrote, “A human chain and protest program will be held in Brahmanbaria today in protest against the cancellation of the screening of the movie Bonolota Express. Rumin Farhana will be present there.”
The protest program is scheduled to take place today at 4:15 PM in Shahbazpur Union.
On the occasion of Eid-ul-Azha, the Brahmanbaria Film Society had arranged a screening of the movie Bonolota Express yesterday (May 30) at Annada Government High School.
However, the screening was eventually canceled following objections from students of the district-based Qawmi Chhatra Oikya Parishad and due to the lack of administrative approval.
