From Football to Drama Serial: Ronaldo to Begin Acting Career

has showcased magic on the football pitch for nearly two decades. Now, Cristiano Ronaldo will be seen in a new avatar. The Al-Nassr Portuguese star is venturing into the world of acting.
Ronaldo will serve as an executive producer for the upcoming drama series 'Day Ones', which is being made centered around British football. Not only that, he will also make a special on-screen appearance. On this project, CR7 will be joined by Arsenal and French football legend Thierry Henry.
While speaking about his acting debut, Ronaldo said, "This is a tremendously exciting chapter in my career. I am looking forward to more new ventures ahead."
For the production of this series, Ronaldo has partnered with acclaimed Hollywood director Matthew Vaughn. Vaughn is known as the creator of the 'Kingsman' film franchise. This year, the two of them together founded UR-Marv Studios. Their goal is to change the conventional norms of film and television production and present new types of stories to the audience.
Speaking about Ronaldo, Matthew Vaughn said, "Ronaldo has created stories on the pitch that I could never have written. Now, I am looking forward to creating inspiring cinematic and television stories with him."
British news outlet The Sun reports that the 'Day Ones' series will portray a realistic picture of British football. Shooting for the series has already begun at the ground of English club Barnet FC.
It is anticipated that there could be intense competition among major streaming platforms for the broadcasting rights of the series, given that Ronaldo and Henry are involved.
The lead character of the series, Stanley Dalton, is a powerful football agent. The role will be played by Damian Lewis, who is known for his performances in 'Homeland' and 'Billions'. The core idea of the story comes from football agent Darren Dein, who is also Thierry Henry's agent. Additionally, British rapper Dave and newcomer actress Carlotta Banaat will also star in the series.
