Storms to hit 8 regions, light rain in Dhaka

Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) said light rain may occur in Dhaka and storms may hit eight regions across the country.
According to the weather forecast for inland river ports valid from 5 am to 1 pm Monday, temporary rain or thundershowers accompanied by gusty or squally winds at speeds of 45 to 60 km/h from the south or southeast are likely over the Khulna, Barishal, Patuakhali, Noakhali, Cumilla, Chattogram, Cox’s Bazar, and Sylhet regions.
River ports in these areas have been advised to hoist cautionary signal number 1.
Meanwhile, the weather forecast for Dhaka and its surrounding areas for the six hours starting from 7 am added that Dhaka’s sky may remain partly cloudy, with light rain possible by noon. Winds may blow from the south or southeast at speeds of 10 to 15 km/h, and day temperatures are expected to remain unchanged.
At 6 am, the temperature in Dhaka was 27.7 degrees Celsius, with a humidity level of 82 percent. The minimum temperature is 27.5 degrees Celsius. No rain was recorded in the last 24 hours.
