In response, BGB personnel, led by Bandarban Sector Commander Colonel Rubayat Jamil, conducted a rescue operation. The rescued families were accommodated at Shaheed Mosharraf BGB School and Kraikhyong Para Government Primary School.
In addition to the rescue efforts, the affected families have been provided with food, safe drinking water, emergency medicines and temporary shelter. Special attention is being given to the needs of women, children, the elderly and people who are ill.
The BGB said that, alongside its responsibility for securing the country's borders, the force remains committed to protecting lives and property during natural disasters. It added that rescue operations, the provision of safe shelter and humanitarian assistance during floods, landslides and other emergencies will continue whenever needed.
