Russian model and content creator Anastasia Kostromitina recently posted a video on social media in which she imitates Haaland’s facial expressions, goal celebrations and various mannerisms. The video quickly caught the attention of netizens after its release. Many commented that the two look like twin siblings.
The viral video has already been viewed more than 14 million times. Countless social media users have commented on the remarkable resemblance between the two.
In an interview with a British media outlet, Anastasia said she did not initially like the comparison. However, over time, she has come to embrace it positively.
She said, “To be honest, at first I couldn’t accept that I looked so much like Haaland. It made me a little uncomfortable. But later I realized that looking like one of the world’s best footballers is not a bad thing. Now I am enjoying the whole thing.”
However, Erling Haaland has not yet made any public comment regarding the viral video or the resemblance.
Meanwhile, Haaland now faces a tough challenge on the field. Norway will take on England in the World Cup quarterfinals. Having scored seven goals in five matches in the tournament, he is one of the leading contenders for the Golden Boot.
