Malaysia and Bangladesh have agreed to reduce the cost of sending Bangladeshi workers to the Southeast Asian country, Foreign Minister Dr. Khalilur Rahman said on Saturday.
Speaking at a press conference at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Prime Minister Tarique Rahman's recent visits to China and Malaysia, the foreign minister said the issue was discussed during the bilateral engagements.
He also said Bangladesh and Malaysia held discussions on a Free Trade Agreement (FTA) during the prime minister's visit.
In addition, Kuala Lumpur reaffirmed its full support for Bangladesh's bid to become an ASEAN dialogue partner, Dr. Khalilur Rahman said.
