Prime Minister Visits Parents' Graves

After returning from a six-day tour to Malaysia and China, Prime Minister Tarique Rahman visited the graves of his parents.
Today, Saturday, around 12:15 PM, he went to Zia Udyan at Sher-e-Bangla Nagar in the city and paid homage to both of his parents: Father Shaheed President Ziaur Rahman, and, mother former Prime Minister Khaleda Zia.
During the visit, the Prime Minister stood before the graves, recited the holy Fatiha, and offered prayers and supplications.
Earlier, on June 21, Prime Minister had departed for Malaysia on his first state visit. After a busy 36-hour schedule there, he then flew to Dalian, China, on the afternoon of June 22. Following a five-day visit to China, he returned home from Beijing last night (Friday).
