Low pressure forms, cautionary signal 3 for four ports

Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) said a low-pressure system has formed over the North Bay of Bengal and the adjacent West Bengal-Bangladesh coast and instructed four maritime ports to hoist local cautionary signal number 3.
BMD Meteorologist Muhammad Abul Kalam Mallik confirmed the matter at 9 am on Wednesday.
Under its influence, squally winds may sweep over the maritime ports, the North Bay, and the adjacent coastal areas of Bangladesh.
The forecast added that Chattogram, Cox’s Bazar, Mongla, and Payra maritime ports to display local cautionary signal number 3. BMD advised fishing boats and trawlers operating in the North Bay to stay near the coast and navigate with caution until further notice.
