The Afghanistan Cricket Board (ACB) has finalized the schedule for a three-match T20I series against India, set to take place in Delhi on September 13, 15, and 17.
Following ACB's official announcement, the likelihood of India touring Bangladesh has effectively dwindled further. The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) had previously proposed hosting India for six white-ball matches between September 1 and September 13. However, with the India-Afghanistan series commencing on September 13, India's presence in Bangladesh during that window is no longer feasible.
With only three weeks remaining before the proposed start date for the Bangladesh series, the tour now appears virtually canceled unless special directives are issued at the last minute by the governments of both nations.
Nevertheless, ACB clarified that while the official public announcement from relevant governing authorities is pending, they have shared the confirmed schedule and venue details with partners and broadcast entities to facilitate preparation.
Media rights for the three-match series are held by ITW Universe. Discussions for Indian television broadcast rights are reportedly underway with JioStar, Sony Sports, and Zee United8, with the broadcaster expected to be finalized within the next 24 hours. Digital rights are secured by FanCode.
