Titas Gas Transmission and Distribution PLC said on Tuesday that gas supply from its liquefied natural gas (LNG) terminals in Moheshkhali has dropped by around 300 million cubic feet due to weather conditions.
This disruption is severely impacting both residential cooking and industrial production. Therefore, all categories of customers within the Titas Gas network will experience low gas pressure until the situation improves.
Titas Gas authority expressed regret to its customers for the temporary inconvenience caused by this situation. However, the organization did not specify an exact timeframe for when operations will return to normal.
The situation is expected to stabilize quickly once the weather clears and the terminals resume standard operations.
Bangladesh operates two floating LNG terminals with a combined total capacity of 1,100 million cubic feet. These facilities provide an average daily supply of 900 to 950 million cubic feet of gas to the national grid.
