Mustafa Mamun said, “A newspaper has a very close connection with the people. The idea of creating a career club first came to mind to make use of that bond.”
At the event, Editor Mustafa Mamun also mentioned that Agamir Somoy currently operates three clubs for different age groups. These are the Kids Club, which helps develop the talents of children up to the age of 12; the Career Club for young people aged 18 to 35; and the Gold Club for providing an enjoyable time for senior citizens aged 60 and above.
He also announced plans to launch another club soon for people aged between 40 and 60. Toward the end of his speech, Mustafa Mamun said, “We all grow up with a dream. Success is also necessary to achieve that dream. Along with success, there must also be peace and happiness in life. In his trademark informal style, he shared stories about the harsh realities of career building for the younger generation. His straightforward message to the students was: “We have only one life, so whatever we want to do, we must do it now. Through hard work, we have to achieve what we want in life so that we have no regrets in our old age.”
Mentioning that there are currently 6 to 7 million unemployed young people in the country, he said, “To survive in this highly competitive market, we must stay focused on our goals and establish ourselves in a unique way.”
He also said that students should maintain at least a 3.5 CGPA. At the same time, Golam Sumdany Don advised young people to stay away from moral degradation and drugs during this stage of their lives.
