From Classrooms to Careers: Government’s Education Goal

Youth and Sports Minister Aminul Haque has said that alongside improving the quality of education, ensuring employment for young people is one of the government's top priorities.
He made the remarks today (Saturday) morning while addressing the farewell ceremony and prayer gathering for HSC examinees held on the premises of Pallabi Degree College in the capital as the chief guest.
During the event, the minister said, "It is not enough to merely obtain a degree; that education must be utilised to transform young people into skilled manpower. To achieve this goal, the Ministry of Youth and Sports is setting up training centres in various areas to create opportunities for skill development and employment."
He added that the government is giving utmost importance to education. Efforts are continuously underway to restore a conducive academic environment in educational institutions, improve the quality of education, enhance teachers' skills, and develop the infrastructure of schools and colleges. Various local development activities are also ongoing to ensure an education-friendly environment in every area.
Emphasising the need to maintain discipline in educational institutions, the minister said that some unscrupulous individuals always try to create chaos. He urged teachers, parents, and local residents to remain vigilant about such elements and called on everyone to play a responsible role to ensure that the educational environment is not disrupted in any way.
The event was presided over by Jahidul Islam, Acting Principal of Pallabi Degree College. Special guests included the college's Governing Body President Md. Ishak (Shipon) and Governing Body Member and education enthusiast Advocate Ali Ashraf Liton.
