Bangshal Explosion Kills Businessman Under Collapsed Wall

A businessman died after being crushed by a collapsing wall following an explosion in a warehouse in Bangshal, Dhaka.
Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) Police Outpost In-charge Inspector Md Faruk confirmed the matter on Friday.
The deceased has been identified as Delowar Hossain, 35. His cousin, Nazmul (33), was also injured in the incident, which occurred around 4:30 am.
Delowar was the owner of Bike Parts Center located next to the Mukim Bazar Jame Mosque.
According to Hamidul, a witness and rescuer, the motorcycle parts warehouse was situated on the ground floor of a three-story building. The businessman and his family lived on the third floor of that same building.
Hamidul said Delowar and Nazmul went downstairs to see after noticing smoke in the warehouse. A massive explosion occurred at that time, causing a portion of the wall to collapse. Delowar sustained a head injury and was trapped under the wall, while Nazmul was injured by fire inside the warehouse.
Locals rescued the victims and rushed to DMCH, where the doctor declared Delowar was dead. Nazmul remains hospitalized for treatment.
Inspector Faruk said the body is in the hospital morgue.
