Leave cancelled for healthcare workers in 11 flood-hit districts

Health Minister Sardar Md. Sakhawat Husain has announced that the leaves of doctors and healthcare workers hav been cancelled to ensure medical services of the people in 11 flood-affected districts.
The minister said this during a press briefing held at the Ministry of Health today, Monday afternoon, regarding the healthcare measures undertaken in the flood-hit areas.
Sardar Sakhawat Husain said that the government is giving the highest priority to ensuring healthcare services.
"So far, 95 snakebite patients have received treatment. Anti-venom is being delivered everywhere to protect people from snakebites," Sakhawat said, highlighting the government's initiatives.
The Health Minister also confirmed, "No cases of cholera have been reported in the flood-affected regions so far."
Earlier, on Sunday, the Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) was deployed in 11 flood-affected districts across the country.
The government has taken this step to rescue people affected by continuous heavy rainfall, flash floods, flooding, and landslides, as well as to arrange safe shelters, distribute relief, provide emergency medical care, restore communication systems, and protect vulnerable infrastructure.
