The scale of Israeli attacks on Gaza reached its highest level on Thursday since the ‘ceasefire’ took effect in October 2025. At least five Palestinians were killed in Israeli attacks across the Gaza Strip on the day. The Israeli military also claimed that it destroyed four Hamas weapons depots in central Gaza.
In a statement, the military said the depots contained Kalashnikov-type assault rifles, RPGs, grenades and other military equipment.
The statement further said that the weapons were intended to be used against Israeli troops and Israeli civilians in occupied areas of Gaza.
Gaza’s Government Media Office said on Wednesday that Israeli forces have committed 3,689 ceasefire violations since the ‘ceasefire’ took effect in October 2025.
Doctors in Gaza said two people were killed in an Israeli airstrike near the Tuffah area in the north. Another person was killed in Israeli tank shelling in the Zeitoun suburb east of Gaza City.
They also said one person was killed and several others were injured in an airstrike on a tent camp for displaced people in western Gaza City. Another person was killed in an attack on a vehicle in southern Khan Younis.
Witnesses said an airstrike also targeted a residential building in Deir al-Balah in central Gaza.
The Armed Conflict Location & Event Data Project (ACLED), which monitors Israeli attacks on Gaza, said that more than 40 air and drone strikes targeting Hamas and other armed groups were carried out in June. It was the highest monthly number since the latest so-called ceasefire took effect in October.
