Police found 3 dead, including AL leader, in Sylhet

Police have recovered the bodies of three people from a residence in Sylhet on Wednesday.

Sylhet Metropolitan Police (SMP) Additional Deputy Commissioner and Media Officer Monjurul Alam confirmed the matter. The deceased have been identified as local Awami League (AL) leader Abdus Sattar, his wife, and their domestic worker.

According to locals, they discovered the bodies inside the house and informed the police. Alongside the police, the Crime Scene Units of the CID and PBI are collecting evidence from the location.

Police said the cause of death has not yet been confirmed and investigation is underway.  They are preparing to send the bodies to the Sylhet MAG Osmani Medical College Hospital morgue for autopsies.
