Businessman's testicles squeezed to force signatures on cheques, stamps

Mostafizur Rahman is seen assaulting MD Abdul Aziz and squeezing his testicles to force him to sign cheques and stamp papers at the Agrani Housing Company office in Barishal — captured from a video.
In Barishal, an incident occurred where a group of individuals entered the office of a real estate developer company, assaulted its Managing Director (MD), and forcibly obtained his signatures on cheques and non-judicial stamps by squeezing his testicles. The incident took place on the evening of June 27 at a firm named Agrani Housing Company Limited in the city. Today (Sunday), CCTV footage of the incident spread across media outlets.
In the video, the company's MD, Abdul Aziz Hawlader, is seen sitting in his room sipping tea. Suddenly, four to five individuals entered the room. At that point, they made everyone else leave, and a person wearing black clothing grabbed Aziz Hawlader, slapped him, and at one point, squeezed his testicles to force him to sign two cheques and two stamps.
The person in black clothing has been identified as Mostafizur Rahman (Litu). He is a resident of the Kathpatti area in the city. Although he is currently involved in the politics of Jubo Dal (the youth wing of BNP), he holds no official position. His brother, Mahbubur Rahman (Pintu), is a former president of the Barishal city unit of Swechchhasebak Dal (volunteer wing of BNP).
The victim, Md. Abdul Aziz Hawlader, is the Chairman of Bakla Developers Private Limited and the Managing Director (MD) of Agrani Housing Company. He held a press conference today regarding the incident.
He stated, "During the attack, Mostafizur Rahman Litu was accompanied by Abul Kalam Azad and Abdul Malek Durani. They were previously known and were business partners. Among them, Mostafizur Rahman Litu and Abul Kalam Azad were shareholders of Bakla Developers Private Limited. In 2023, they sold all their shares and settled their accounts. On the other hand, Mostafizur Rahman Litu and Abdul Malek Durani were associated with Agrani Housing Company."
He further said, "On the evening of June 27, they entered the office of Bakla Developers Private Limited, assaulted me, and Mostafizur Rahman Litu squeezed my testicles. At that time, they forced me to sign a cheque for Tk 70 lakh, a blank cheque, and two blank stamps. Later, they went to the police station and filed a complaint for money recovery, based on which an arbitration process was initiated. Meanwhile, I fell ill due because of the assault. After recovering, I filed a case in court."
The victim's lawyer, Md. Abdul Rashid Khan, said, "The complainant was assaulted and forced to sign blank cheques and six stamps. As soon as the video of the incident was shown in court, the court ordered the filing of an FIR."
The accused, Mostafizur Rahman Litu, expressed regret over the incident, claiming, "This unfortunate incident happened because we did not receive our due money. Md. Abdul Aziz Hawlader has misappropriated our money. We are in financial distress as a family, which led to this untoward incident."
Meanwhile, after several videos on social media referred to Mostafizur Rahman Litu as a Jubo Dal leader, Barishal Metropolitan and District Jubo Dal held a press conference. During the press conference, Central Jubo Dal Vice President Advocate H.M. Taslim Uddin said, "Mostafizur Rahman Litu has no affiliation with Jubo Dal. Far from holding any committee position, he has never even attended any meetings or rallies."
Barishal Metropolitan Police Commissioner Ashik Saeed commented, "After conducting operations in Barishal city, Mostafizur Rahman Litu and Abul Kalam Azad have been arrested. They were brought under the law within 24 hours of the incident."
