Six More Children Die of Measles and Symptoms

Six children have died in the past 24 hours, from Saturday 8 am to Sunday 8 am, in Bangladesh due to measles and measles-like symptoms.
The information was released on Sunday afternoon by the Health Emergency Operation Center and Control Room of the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).
It said that during the 24-hour period, five children died from measles symptoms and one died from confirmed measles across Bangladesh. In the same period, 243 children were confirmed infected with measles, while 1,274 children were reported as suspected cases.
According to the DGHS, a total of 459 children have died from measles and measles-related symptoms since March 15. Of them, 75 deaths were from confirmed measles and 384 from suspected cases.
During the same period, 7,767 children have been confirmed infected with measles through testing. In addition, 57,846 children have been hospitalized with suspected measles infections.
