Preliminary Evidence of Plagiarism Found in DU Teacher’s Article

The University of Dhaka administration has found preliminary evidence supporting allegations of plagiarism against Professor Dr Md Ridwanul Haq of the Institute of Business Administration (IBA). A five-member committee has been formed to investigate the matter.
The information was disclosed in a letter marked “Highly Urgent” issued today, by the university’s Registrar Office.
According to the letter, preliminary evidence of plagiarism was found in an article submitted by the professor during his application for promotion to the post of professor. The committee has been tasked with conducting a thorough investigation into the matter.
The committee has been instructed to submit its investigation report within 30 working days. The letter signed by the Deputy Registrar (Investigation), was sent to the Dean of the Faculty of Law, the Dean of the Faculty of Science, the Proctor, and the Principal of Dhaka Medical College.
The university administration stated that if the allegations are proven, necessary action will be taken against the teacher in accordance with the university’s disciplinary regulations.
No statement from the accused teacher, Professor Ridwanul Haq, was available regarding the matter.
