She has collected a nomination form from the Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) for a reserved women's seat from Kushtia in the 13th National Parliament.
Chamak officially joined the party and confirmed the news herself. She stated, "I met with the Prime Minister and joined the BNP. Since I am seeking a nomination from Kushtia, I have also taken primary (BNP) membership in the Kushtia district unit."
Speaking on Saturday afternoon, Chamak explained that she had been looking for a platform to work for women's empowerment. "I want to serve the country, specifically focusing on women's rights. For that, I needed a platform. I believe joining the BNP will allow me to implement my plans effectively," she explained.

Chamak added, "I spoke with the Prime Minister on various topics, and the conversation felt very positive."
