Nationwide Heavy Rainfall Warning: Caution of Landslide in Hilly Areas

The Bangladesh Meteorological Department has issued a heavy rainfall warning as thunderclouds continue to form across the country. According to the alert, heavy to very heavy rainfall is expected across all eight divisions over the next 96 hours, starting from 11:00 AM today, Tuesday (April 28).
The warning states that locations within the Rangpur, Rajshahi, Mymensingh, Dhaka, Khulna, Barishal, Chattogram, and Sylhet divisions may experience heavy rainfall ranging from 44 mm to 88 mm, with some areas seeing very heavy downpours of up to 188 mm within a 24-hour period.
Waterlogging: Temporary waterlogging may occur in various areas due to the intense rainfall.
Landslide Warning: There is a specific risk of landslides in the hilly regions of the Chattogram division.
