Runa Laila to Mesmerize Two Australian Cities

Internationally renowned singer Runa Laila is set to spread musical magic across Australia. Music lovers in Sydney and Melbourne will be mesmerized by her performances in two separate concerts. "Runa Laila Live in Sydney" will take place on August 1 at the Norwest Convention Centre, followed by another concert on August 8 at the Melbourne Recital Centre.
Confirming the news to Agamir Somoy, Runa Laila said, "The two concerts are being organized on a very large scale. I am optimistic that it will be something wonderful. The organizers have informed me that there has already been a great response in show booking. "
Runa Laila will depart for Sydney on July 29, accompanied by seven instrumentalists. She plans to return home on August 10 after gladdening expatriate Bangladeshis with her songs at the two events.
When asked by Agamir Somoy about the last time she performed in Australia, Runa Laila said, "It has been many years! About a decade. That was a program featuring artists from both Bengals."
In a colorful musical career spanning over six decades, Runa Laila has sung more than 10,000 songs in a total of 18 languages, including Bengali, Hindi, Punjabi, Gujarati, Urdu, Sindhi, and English. Her journey is filled with countless achievements. She has delivered numerous timeless hits, collaborated with famous composers and vocalists in Bollywood, set Guinness World Records, won Gold Disc Awards, acted in films, worked as a model, judged reality shows, and contributed to humanitarian causes.
Runa Laila has won the National Film Award a total of eight times. She received the Best Female Playback Singer award for the films The Rain, Jadur Banshi, Accident, Antore Antore, Devdas, Priya Tumi Sukhi Hou, and Tumi Asbe Bole. Additionally, she earned a National Film Award for Best Composer for the film Ekti Cinemar Golpo.
