CNG drivers block Jamalpur highway demanding uninterrupted gas supply

CNG-run auto-rickshaw drivers blocked the Jamalpur-Tangail regional highway today, Thursday (August 13), demanding an immediate solution to the ongoing gas crisis. The blockade began around 6:00 AM in the Daripara area of Jamalpur municipality.

The demonstration completely halted traffic along the highway, causing a multi-kilometer gridlock that left daily commuters and working professionals stranded in severe distress.

Protesting drivers reported waiting in line for hours without securing enough gas, severely undercutting their daily earnings and putting their families under immense financial strain. They declared that their protest would continue until gas supply normalizes and adequate fuel is guaranteed for CNG-driven vehicles.
