A total of 442 road crashes occurred across the country in
September, leaving 423 people dead and 674 others injured. Among the deceased,
139 were motorcycle riders or passengers, accounting for about 33 percent of
the total deaths. In addition, 106 pedestrians were killed in road crashes.
Among the deceased were 61 children and 58 students.
