Two people were killed after a wall collapsed while they were waiting to buy goods sold by the Trading Corporation of Bangladesh in Mirpur, the capital. A 40-year-old man was killed after the wall of an earthen house collapsed on him during heavy rainfall in Ukhiya Upazila of Cox’s Bazar on Tuesday afternoon. The victim, identified as Md. Manik, was trapped under the collapsed wall at around 3:00 pm in the Jambagan area of Haldiapalang Union.
