The price of a 12-kilogram cylinder of privately supplied liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) at the consumer level has been reduced by Tk 13 to Tk 1,585. The government has taken an initiative to supply liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) cylinders at affordable prices to low-income families in remote and rural areas of the country. A policy decision on the matter was made at a meeting of the Cabinet Division chaired by Prime Minister Tarique Rahman on July 9.
