Pori Moni vents fury after Bandhan's humiliation in Italy

Actress Azmeri Haque Bandhan faced an unpleasant experience while participating in the Venice International Film Festival in Italy. She was harassed on the streets of Venice in the presence of her young child and family members. In response, actress Pori Moni has expressed her anger on social media.

Sharing a video clip of the incident on social media, Pori Moni wrote: "Nothing much. Just some stray puppies barking on the street. To them, a human child's cries don't matter at all. They never did."

It is known that Bandhan was attacked while spending time with her brother's family in a park in the Mestre area of Venice. Her brother's young child was also with her. In the video circulating on social media, a group of people identifying themselves as "Venice Chhatra League" and "Bangabandhu's soldiers" can be seen abusing and harassing Bandhan, calling her a "July militant." At that time, Bandhan's nephew, who was with her, started crying loudly in terror, but the attackers appeared to pay no heed.

Later, in a video message detailing the humiliation she suffered, Bandhan said that she was physically assaulted, had cold drinks and water thrown at her, and her mobile phone was snatched away and thrown to the ground after a scuffle.

It is believed that the attack was carried out because of her active role on the streets during the student-public uprising of 2024. Since the incident came to light, a storm of severe criticism has been raging on social media.
