A court has granted a five-day remand for the youth, Md. Mohibullah Mobin, who had intruded into Prime Minister Tarique Rahman's protocol. The order was passed today (Monday) by Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Sarah Farzana Haque after a hearing.

On that day, the accused was produced before the court, and the remand hearing commenced in his presence. During the hearing, his lawyer, Rabiul Alam Jewel, applied for cancellation of the remand and for bail.

On the other hand, State Counsel Muhammad Shamsuddoha Sumon argued in favour of the remand. After hearing both sides, the court rejected the bail application and granted a five-day remand.

After the hearing, he was being taken out of the court, when he cried out repeatedly, "I haven't done anything. I just went to take pictures."

Earlier, on September 5, at around 4:00 PM, he had intruded into the Prime Minister's protocol. He was arrested at that time. In connection with the incident, the police filed a case under the Anti-Terrorism Act at Tejgaon Police Station. Following his arrest in the case, on September 6, the investigating officer and Sub-Inspector of Tejgaon Police Station, Md. Asadur Rahman, applied for a seven-day remand. That day, he was sent to jail and September 7 was fixed for the remand hearing.

According to the case details, on September 5, a discussion meeting titled "The Purpose and Significance of the Founding of the BNP" was organized at the KIB Auditorium in Monipuripara, under Tejgaon Police Station. Prime Minister Tarique Rahman was entering the venue when the youth intruded into his protocol on a motorcycle.

At one point, he was arrested with the assistance of police officers deployed for security. However, others who were with him fled the scene.
