Police have
detained a man for beating his wife after she prevented him from watching the
World Cup football final in Ramganj, Lakshmipur.

Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Firoz Uddin Chowdhury confirmed the
matter. The incident came to light after a video of the torture went viral on
the social media platform Facebook on Sunday.
Following
this, police went to Kanchanpur Union on Monday and detained the individual,
