The prices of
most vegetables in markets have risen above Tk 70-80 kg. Among these, the price
of green chili is nearly touching Tk 200 per kg and the prices of other
vegetables are also hovering close-Tk 100 per kg.
A visit-various
markets in Dhaka on Friday revealed that green chilies are sold at Tk 160-180 per
kg, eggplant at Tk 90-120, cucumber at Tk 120-130, bitter gourd at Tk 80-100, pointed
gourd and okra at Tk 70-80, and ridge gourd at Tk 80-90.
