A total of 14 people died across the country in the past 24
hours after developing measles symptoms or contracting dengue. Of them, eight
died after developing measles symptoms and six died from dengue. During the
same period, 1,608 dengue patients were admitted to hospitals across the
country. Meanwhile, 1,109 children were found to have measles symptoms.
The Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) reported
the information in separate notices on Saturday (03 October).
